Mayfield House Care Home
Mayfield House is a modern building purpose built set in attractive laid out secure gardens, the home provides care for older people who can no longer live within their own home.
The home is over two floors with a lift and wheelchair access to all areas. The home is well situated within the community within easy reach of Crewe and Nantwich.
- Mayfield House is registered for 51 residents and the accommodation provides for 23 people who have a dementia type illness and for 28 people who are frail.
- Bedrooms are tastefully decorated spacious well equipped 50 of the rooms have en-suit facilities. Rooms are single occupancy and overlook the garden.
- Lavender wing has a spacious lounge area and a centrally heated conservatory, soft furnishings and occasional furniture give a homely atmosphere. There are facilities for residents and visitors to make their own drinks should they wish in the kitchenette area.
- Magnolia wing is dedicated to the care of people with Dementia type illness and is designed to ensure a safe environment, the lounges are well furnished and in keeping with the needs of the residents. There is also the benefit of a heated conservatory. Staff within this area are trained and dedicated to the specialist needs of the residents who live within Magnolia.
- Both daily living areas of the home have TV and DVD facilities, bedrooms all have TV points
- Dedicated dining rooms ensure dining is a social occasion.
- The home and is equipped with a nurse-call system in all rooms.
- There are six bathrooms that are equipped with facilities to meet the needs of residents who require assisted bathing.
- Our laundry service is available to all residents
- We have an onsite hairdressing salon and a hairdresser visits on a regular basis
- Mayfield is supported by local GP practices and the community nursing services.
- We can arrange for domiciliary visits for dental, optical and chiropody services.
- The beliefs and religious needs of residents will be respected and every effort will be made to enable residents to practice within their chosen faith
We are committed to the providing a stimulating environment for all whom live within Mayfield House, we have designed activities programmed to meet a variety of interests and everyone is welcome to join in. Support is given by our Activities Coordinator. Newspapers and periodicals can be ordered for residents.
Residents are encouraged to have control of their lives and this is supported by resident meetings and involvement in the day to day activities of the home.
We have no specific visiting times relatives and friends are able to visit to meet the needs and wishes of all concerned.
